Schools & Education
No city can be considered one of the most livable in the country without a strong educational backbone. Tulsa is no exception. The city and its neighboring communities are home to more than two dozen local school districts and a host of private schools. Tulsa County alone serves more than 90,000 students. The public system include magnet schools that allow children with strong interests in things such as science and technology to learn and grow in the fields of their choice while also obtaining solid foundations in the fundamentals such as English and mathematics.
Once these students graduate, the area is home to enough institutes of higher learning that children can remain at home while taking advantage of top quality educational opportunities. The Tulsa area boasts such universities as Oral Roberts, the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Weslyan University and more. The Tulsa Technology Center also serves students here along with Bacone College.
